Oxford fabric is made using a basketweave in which multiple yarns are woven together by passing them over one another, both in vertical and horizontal directions. It is relatively textured and much more durable than most fabrics. Although the basketweave promotes breathability, an Oxford cotton is typically a great insulator, making it an ideal choice for winter. While this fabric gets softer with use, it retains its shape and generally washes very easily. A common choice for casual-to-formal dress shirts.
